Can I send tobacco and other products to my soldier overseas?

I am putting together a care package for my fiance overseas i baught him several things at christmas bc he was supposed to be home but the army decided he couldnt come home then. So I was wondering if i can send cigarettes and his sister baught him a small pocket knife so would it be possible to send these things to an APO address or what? This is the first time we have sent a package since its his first deployment and im at a total loss and cant find the answers i need anywhere.
