What would light do in this situation?

Sorry if this is something simple, but I just wanted to know out of curiosity. It’s something I think I know, but I wanna hear other feedback. I’ll explain it the best I can. It’s a hypothetical situation.

Okay, say you have a laser pointer with a light beam that doesn’t get affected by things such as gravity, mediums, or stuff of that sort. You point the light straight up into an empty sky and start waving your hand in about 45 degrees worth of turn, causing the laser to follow your hand motion, creating a flat plane that the light is following..

Okay, so say a camera is in space looking towards the light, perpendicular to the laser’s plane (and it can see the light somehow). The camera is far enough to see the light actually traveling forward.

Since the source of the light is waving, would the camera see a continuous s-string of light fly out or would it be tiny light-bits flying out?

Physics Diffraction Problem – Width of Central Bright Fringe?

A common commercial diffraction grating has 15,000 slits per inch.
If a green laser light of wavelength 530 nm is shown through the grating onto a screen located 5.6 meters away, to nearest tenth of a centimeter, how wide is the central bright fringe?

We spent about 90 minutes talking about interference, in and outta phase, orders (m), and diffraction. The one equation I have to show for it is sin (theta) = m*lambda/d. I converted the slits per inch to slits per meter and took the inverse to get a d value, perhaps just for the sake of doing it, but… I don’t what I’m doing.

I know the right answer for that given L value of 5.6 meters is 177.5 but I need to know how to get there.

What is the small black box labeled with 560 in a laser pointer\’s circuit board?

I opened my laser pointer that I got at a Walmart and, of course, inside it was a small circuit board. This circuit board was made of only three parts. The laser diode, a button, and a small black piece with a 560 printed on the top. The piece is only about 2mm long by 1mm wide. What I’m wanting to know is what this small device is, what it does, and what might happen if I replace it with a simple wire, or I could test what could happen when I replace it with a wire on my own.

What do i do about my sick cat?

hey guys
i had a cat for around 2-3 years now but im pretty sure its sick, i wannna take it to the vet but im to young to do anything abt it, and my dad wont take him or anything, my and family are moving in about a month and i dont think we will be able to take him, because now he not even a alound inside our house -_-
my dad wont let the cat inside the house ever because we all know it has some sort of desise, before when it didnt have anyrthing i livied inside but now it is oviusy sick, so its kinda like a stray cat anyway, because we just keep the food outside our house, and first he use to hang around the door of our house, but now he comes to our house to eat about ever 3-5 days, and he eats very little, i dont know where he gets his food from but i dont care, but it barely ever sees us and that makes me sad
so is there anything i can do ? im gonna be trying to keep getting my dad to take the cat to the vet so it can come live with us INSIDE again in our new house, but if i dont sucseed is there anything i can do ? i think i will be able to take the cat with us, but it has to live in our small little yard forever, and thats cruel, if it just healthy it could live inside, but its not, and also he never ever plays with anything now, very unactive, if i try to play with string or laser pointer or ANYTING, he wont play, but before we was supser active, i just idk what to do so please help

I want to make a laser pointer, but all I have is a class 1 diode from an old cd drive. Is it safe and will it work?

Do you need fog to see a Laser light?

I’m thinking about getting a Micro Galaxian Gobo. I was wondering if fog would be required to see the actual lasers. I got one answer on another forum last time that said I would not be able to see the beams through mid air ( Im OK with that) but would be able to see the paterns and effects on walls ( All I wan’t) so is this true? All that matters is that the patterns can be seen on a wall/ floor/ ceiling. I don’t care if you can’t see the beams in air.

Can I become a Youtube Partner if most of my videos are product reviews?

I may be interested in becoming a Youtube partner someday, but most of my videos are (and will continue to be) product reviews. Basically I tell the pros and cons of various products/items such as airsoft guns, paintball guns, laser pointers, knives, etc. I tell the viewers the prices of the items, if they are worth the price or not, where they can be bought, and stuff like that. Now I know one of the requirements to become a Youtube partner is to have original videos that I made and have the rights to, so I’m not sure if I could become a partner when a lot of my videos are about other items that I do not have rights to. For example, let’s say I do a review about an “iPod”. Now I do not own any rights to Apple or iPod, so can I make videos about them and become a Youtube partner?

Please only answer this question if you are a Youtube partner and/or honestly think you know the answer to this question.
