nintendo wii repair, anyone?

Ok, so a week or 2 ago my wii stopped reading discs. I asked about it on here (thanks if you answered), and have decided to send it to Nintendo for repairs, coz that’s supposed to be the best idea if you wanna keep all your data and stuff. But…How do I send it in? And how much does it cost in the UK? Would it cost more if it was older (mines 3 years old)? Someone said I need a receipt, is that true? Coz I don’t have mine anymore >_<

Wii unable to read any discs after Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword update?

Hello I’ll try to keep this as simple as possible, my wii is quite old and it probably will not have warranty anymore, it is a cracked japanese wii (someone cracked it for me), its been working for a few years already and is fine when I play games from different regions;
today i bought a new game Lozss (ENGLISH) and it asked for an update, i updated and checked if I could connect to wifi, it displayed the same opera error that displays even before the update. so I went to click on the game but then the disc could not be read, Unable to Read Disc with a question mark.
I started getting worried and I tried every single wii game i have, all of them cannot be read, but strangely my gamecube games can be read. I live in Hong Kong so I dont know how to or where to contact nintendo and get my wii fixed and I doubt they will repair it because its cracked.
What can I do? Would buying a japanese wii game and updating it fix this problem?? Please help I spent alot of money on this new game and I do not want my wii to go to waste!

Also how do i check if i have any updates that needs to be updated

Ok, I purchased a Wii about 2 and a half years ago, so the warranty is expired. Sunday it stopped closing completely when a disk is placed in it, and says it can’t read the disk (when door is manually closed completely). No disks are “stuck” in the system, as the door does open fully. I am possibly looking to get it fixed, but no where local works on them and have been advised to contact Nintendo. Is this worth my time? What is the current price of the Wii and how easy is it to find a Wii now? Any other advise is appreciated as well. Thank you.

were can i get a wii fixed?

My Wii does not read the Disk chanel and i just got Call of Duty Black Ops nop scratches on it and the Wii chanel won’t read my disk.Every timer I put a game in it does the same thing.So does anybody know were i can get it fixed.
