Is a Brookstone video spy pen better than the livescribe pulse/echo smartpen?

So I want to buy one of these pens. Either the livescribe pulse/echo or the brookstone video spy pen.

Pros of the Brookstone pen: I don’t have to buy notebooks every 2-3 months. I only have to buy pen cartridges.

Cons of Brookstone pen: It only records 1.5 hrs of video. I would have to charge it everyday.

Pros of livescribe pen: I can record up to 200 hrs of voice. I wouldn’t have to charge it everyday.

Cons of livescribe pen: I can ONLY buy livescribe notebooks. I would have to buy the notebooks every 2-3 months. I would have to buy pen cartridges often.

Which one is better? Please, I want good answers not answers like: “Either one is fine.” “They are both good pens.”
