Thinking of starting kids party business… advice?
My boyfriend’s sister and I are thinking of starting a small business this summer for fun and for a little pocket money.
Both of us have experience working with kids. We like to entertain and teach, and there really isn’t any other group in our community doing what we want to do.
We would bring our service to the clients home or office. The program would be two hours and include:
- and opening story or activity
- a short improvised show
- games
- a story or experiment
- a craft
We plan on doing theme parties for kids 4-12. One of the themes we would do is a pirate event where the kids would learn a little about real pirates. We would start the party with everyone making a unique pirate flag. Tattoo shop where they would have their arms painted. Then pirate themed games. The craft would be fabric painted bandanas, foam pirate hats, parrot puppets, or kaleidoscope spy glasses.
Any thoughts or advice? could we get something like this off the ground? What would be a good fee for this?
